Have you sighted the plans?
If you have sighted the plans of the structure and/or were consulted during the approval process then please confirm if it was:
- the front setback that was non-compliant (please select this request at the bottom of this page)
- another deviation from the plans (please select other deviation request).
Plans not sighted
Complaints can include:
- a change of land use at the property (e.g. a warehouse that converts to a shop) - please refer to Change of Land Use
- storage of excess amounts of material at commercial or residential properties (e.g. storage or salvage yards) - please refer to Storage of Excess Amounts of Materials
- a business operating without any approval (e.g. a fitness centre being run from a residential property) - please refer to Business Operating Without Approval
Issues with neighbours
- People are sometimes unaware that their activities are causing a problem.
- The City encourages all residents and business operators to talk to their neighbours about problems before making a complaint.

Anonymous requests
- This type of request cannot be anonymous.
- Contact details are required when lodging this type of issue to ensure a proper investigation can be completed. It also provides the City with the ability to clarify information to ensure officers have a safe working environment.

Raise a request
- To raise a request for deviations from approved plans, please select the correct option below.
- An officer will action the request within five (5) working days. This includes contacting you to clarify the nature of the complaint, checking on any possible safety risks for City staff and explaining the complaint process.
